NEW YEAR'S FESTIVAL

If you thought you've memorized every bit of the island so far, think again! Seemingly overnight, a huge festival has appeared in the plains, complete with vendors, games, contests, and of course, huge rides to scream your lungs out. Grab your friends and have a fun start to the new year! •Bobbing for apricorns and games - Try your luck at snatching a fresh apricorn and win a pokeball version for your efforts! The water's pretty icy at this time, so you might want to find a way to warm your face afterwards. There's also ring toss, Squirtle gun range, and a strange fishing game where you only ever seem to fish out Magikarp for 500 poke a try. Win big to earn plushies and masks of your favorite Pokemon! •Haunted house - It's a place brimming with Gastlys and Gengars eager to pop out of the walls and scare the living daylights out of you. Enter if you dare! •Ferris wheel - Take a break in the Ferris wheel and get a full view of the carnival. Also a fine place to pick up bizarre dates if you're desperate to kiss someone at midnight. •Food and fortune - Cotton candy, popcorn, caramel-covered berries, and everything else to get your weekly intake of salt and sugar. Stop by the vendors for a range of carnival cuisine from all the regions, then check out the Alakazam fortune teller on the way out to get your new year's fortune. Too bad his fortunes seem to read like bad fortune cookies. •Tunnel of Luvdisc - Need a private moment? Hop into a boat and cruise along the Tunnel of Luvdisc with your darling, together with the lights down low...and a river packed with energetic Luvdisc who seem eager to splash water and sometimes flip onto the boat. Just shove them back if one lands in your lap. •Gyarados roller coaster - It's the highlight of the festival! This towering coaster has all the terrifying drops and turns you want in a roller coaster, but with a tacky-looking Gyarados car as the ride. Don't let that fool you into thinking it's a ride for the younger kids, though. There's a lot more to see than what's listed here - list your own event too!

Thanks for the observation, genius. You're not exactly helping with that part right now either. [Thank goodness height is still in his favor but the stupid big lollipop is just gonna cover his face more.] What are you doing here anyway?

[Don't worry, it's Pikachu's turn to have a lick of the thing. What, it's not weird to just lift a big ol' circle to your shoulder.]

Looking around. [But hold on a minute- Red's 'not helping'? You are cluing Red in to your flawless plan, Green.] Wait, are you waiting for somebody to want to go in with you?

[His voice might be a tad amused. A tad ha ha you really waiting around, Green without needing to laugh. A tad judging.

[Erk-! His foolproof plan is about to crumble. How typical of Red to crush all his hopes and dreams.]

Er - nah, I just finished going with some other people. Just taking a break from all the demand, you know?

[Ahhh yes, perfect save.]

Yeah? [Well, Red sounds like he's believing that. He looks towards the tunnel, a thing Pikachu can't do. And doesn't want to.] What's in there?

Boats and Luvdisc. [Duh. The signs and clingy couples around the ride make it pretty obvious.]

[1stgen]

That's it? [Really, there's nothing more? No surprise mountains? Red's face falls.] Why do you want to go in then?

Well, Red, some people who happen to be charming and good looking like to get a little alone time with other people that catch their interest. Get what I'm saying? We can talk again in a few years if you don't. [Har har he's still got it.]

[1stgen]

[That's so Green. Making an unamused face here.]

I think those people had the idea of coming with somebody instead of pretending they did.

[Guess who he's talking about jerk.]

[Well golly gee who could that be???] You trying to say something?

[!!It's a mystery!!] Yeah. You're a liar. [oh wait no it isn't.]

[His flawless scheme is ruined!] Like you'd do any better here!

[R.I.P Green's scheme you were too flawless for this world.] I wouldn't act like I'm in demand, at least.

[Bringing the lollipop back in front of himself. You've had enough, Pikachu.] The other stuff looks more fun anyway. You get to win prizes at the stalls. [Not that Red's interested at that ride at all. Gonna bite on the candy. Bet you can't even catch the luvdisc so dumb.]

[Let's be real Red who would even want to catch a Luvdisc. Also the sign clearly states the Luvdisc aren't supposed to be caught, anyway.]

What, looking for a giant Pikachu toy to replace your old one? [He points at the very alive Pikachu in front of him.]

[Woah there Green, rude. That earns him a face and a 'Pika! from the wonderful gorgeous Pikachu, and Red makes a bit of a face too- until he remembers something.]

Oh, yeah; they had a Squirtle gun range with dolls as prizes. I was thinking of trying getting one of each.

[In Green's defense, Red totally deserves a rude comment like that.]

Weren't you six the last time you played with a doll?

[1stgen]

[Green's defence is the most bias defence ever.]

Did you stop? [Red, the no-effort insulter on the planet. He folds his arms.] It's got to be more fun than standing here.

So go knock yourself out with that. [Green will totally stand here and wait for all those dates that are bound to spring upon him aaaaany second now.]

Sure. [Rightful ownership of the lolly is now given to Pikachu once more. Red takes a step back, nodding and lifting up a hand.] See you.

[He's not even going to dignify that with a response! Huffing and shoving his hands in his jacket pockets is the cooler thing to do.

Naturally he'll feel pretty silly for that a short time later, when he finds Red in the games section, alone and still very much dateless. People here clearly have no taste.]

[Red might've tried to make Green come along before, but he knew that it would've likely not been very effective. Green did what Green wanted, always and forever.

But when Red sees him later, no worry, poor soul; there will be no judging told you so looks. He's not at the shooting range, but eyeing the ring tossing game that's currently being played. Well, eyeing until Green comes along, of course. Pikachu is nowhere in sight.]

[Innocent question. Mayybbbe Green met somebody possibly despite being alone right now??]
