[It's snowing.

That's right, it's snowing. The ground is covered in a nice thick layer of snow. More importantly, there's a nice and neat series of tables with scarves, mittens, ear muffs, and sleds leaning against it. (A few of the tables even serve hot chocolate that inexplicably hasn't gone cold, for those who need to warm up.)

It's the perfect weather for snow activities since the snow isn't too heavy... You know, except for the occasional Cryogonal that falls from the sky. There seem to be quite a few of those.

But don't let that stop you from some of the classics- snow angels, sledding, snowball fights... Tis the season and all.]

[They're both super effective against him... Weavile'll be just fine nodding to Rosa's words and hopping off to lead his trainer through the snow.

And not a few minutes later, Nate skis in. Weavile's great at making those, you know --]

[Forget about not being happy to see him, pretend you're not as sniffly as you are! Gotta look good in front of kind of crush! Rosa covers her nose with her scarf and keeps her hot cocoa close. Yup. Totally healthy. Not feeling lethargic at all.

Ser doesn't even know why she bothers, Nate's stupid. Duchess agrees. But he's admirable, even if he's stupid.]

[Oh, he's definitely stupid. He doesn't even notice Rosa's trying not to be sniffly.]

I can't help it! I was born to ski. [no, he was born to swim (and act) but hey anyway not the point here right] You're looking really cute today, Rosa.

[Thank goodness she's got that scarf around her face. Playing with some of her snow-covered hair with her free hand, too. Nate always got her fidgeting. Dumb boy.]

I wish I felt just as cute. Thanks! I guess. [SIPS HOT DRINK. AHEM. FEEL BETTER ALREADY, BODY, WE'VE GOTTA LOOK GOOD AND FEEL GOOD.] I can pin down my cuteness today to these adorable things I got from the table over there! Though a girl like me is always cute, of course, these accessories just highlight it.

Really? It seems to me like they're hiding it.

You're lucky I'm too si-- cold to be bothered by your flirts.

[And by bothered, Ser thinks, she means pleasantly embarrassed. Rosa'll pat beside her on Duchess though, kind of a hesitant and slow one because the closer he gets the worse it's gonna be for her. The Lucario will hold her drink.]

You can sit, if you want. Duchess is an excellent warmer. And I, um, wouldn't mind your company. Since you're around.

[He wasn't aware she was ever bothered by his flirts in the first place! Nate'll hop up, and his Weavile will make tiny snowmen a little ways away.

But now that he's closer.........

He's going to coyly slide an arm around her waist. For, uh, support. Heh.]

How can you still be cold all bundled up and on this big fire puppy, huh?

[Nate no Ser is keeping a CLOSE EYE on you, boy, and Duchess harrumphs at his actions too--

he is awfully warm so she'll... Let it got this time. Though she'll make it clear that she's not enjoying it by turning her head away. It also keeps him from seeing her blush unrelated to sickness and through her lie.]

The wind keeps getting through, I guess. Have you ever seen so many Cryogonal?

[She's so difficult sometimes.]

Not really. [Except he swore he saw them hovering in the sky when the Neo-Plasma business was happening. Scary days, those.] It's a littler weird. What about you?

[Come on, a girl like her being into a guy like Nate?

... More accurately put, she doesn't think she's in the same league as him. He's co-stars with the beautiful Sabrina and other famous actresses, Rosa's just a girl who likes battling. Gotta keep her hopes down.]

Nope. I mean, Twist Mountain in the winter time has a lot, but it feels like there's more here... Maybe there's a blizzard coming. [Just the thought makes her shiver, which makes her cough and sniffle. Shoot.]

Maybe. I guess we should find someplace to wait it out before it hits then. [Not that they know when it would... Oh, hey, coughs and sniffles??] You sick or something, Rosie?

[ABORT ABORT ABORT HE ASKED THE QUESTION.]

Nope! Totally fine! Fit as a fiddle! I've, um, never been better! We should find a good place, so we'd better get going fast!

[She is hopping down, or trying to slip out of his arm anyway. Please. She didn't even comment about "Rosie". Look how sick she is. That would've given him a light smack for sure, since she's very keen on being called Rosa. Or Rosalind. Rosario. Rosaline. Something pretty.]

[She's totally sick. Nope, sorry girlfriend. He's gonna grip her tighter.]

Woah, woah, slow down there! You'll hurt yourself if you get down too fast! [That's... totally the reason, yeah. Humph.] I don't get sick easy, Rosie, don't worry about passing it on. Just hang out with me up here, it's warm and nice.

[Noooo it's worse if she's up there...

She'll huff and resist the urge to lean against him. Her Lucario pats her sympathetically on the head and hops down. He's going to get more hot cocoa for all of them.]

... Thanks, Ser. [No problem, with a small bow. Rosa sighs.]

It's just a little cold. I don't fair that well during winter, so... It's nothing to worry about. Seriously.

[Good! Nate could use some hot chocolate.]

So you're a spring and summer kind of girl... I totally expected that. I like the summer best too, since you can do a lot of swimming!

No, no, he is. Gotta be polite to his lady's crushes.]

Snow's the only thing winter has going for it. [Sniffle! She feels so gross. Why does Nate have to see her like this, right now?] And the holidays, I guess. Even Valentine's Day lands around there.

[... Valentine's Day... Going out with... Her eyes slide to Nate, and she shakes her head.

Nope. No way. There's no way. He'd probably ask out someone else, someone older and mature.]

Oh yeah, Valentine's Day...

[He glances at her. Would she want to go out with him...? Nah, she'd probably ask someone else... Someone with more battling than acting experience.

[An instant reaction: She's red from the tips of her ears to her chin. Duchess shakes with laughter and Rosa pulls her scarf down a little, nervously playing with the fabric.]

Oh, well, you know, it's so far away right now, I don't anyone in mind, so, um... [Shhhh, calm down. You are a Princess-- Nay, a Queen! Your battle prowess is outstanding! He's just a guy and, furthermore, he's just Nate!] Not really, I guess. I'm looking forward to Single's Awareness Day as much as any other girl is. What about you, Nate?

It is pretty far off, but I've got a girl in mind! She's cute, nice, funny, smart, and probably going to say no, but I'm still going to ask.
