[He's tense because he just released a vicious Liepard from its pokeball and from quite the distance as well. The Liepard makes no hesitation to bristle and hiss at him. ]

Liepard.

[He tries to remain firm, but his voice doesn't have much leverage to it. A bond to this Liepard and with great pain. The Liepard growls while kicking sand at him. Reflexively he covers his face, but he known this Liepard and thus knows how she works. While covering his face he dives away from a Night slash attack. Liepard meant business with an increased critical hit move. Thankful for his own training, he was able to roll through the sand and back up to his feet. Air is still a little cloudy, but he can feel the cat pokemon leaping for him again. Another roll and he has a grip on the pokeball, but he doesn't return the pokemon.]

Liepard, please! I'm sorry I was too weak before!

[Leverage gone; his voice shakes. It isn't loud enough for a powerful yell. It might look like incompetence but it's far from a common trainer problem.]

This one was taking a stroll with his own giant cat, and he freezes when he sees the scene.
At first glance it'd look like you're trying to catch it, but then he hears those words...]

[He's gotten stronger, and more agile... And the feeling of managing to keep safe but still confront this Liepard has him a little grounded again. For a moment, he felt like he was eight again. He doesn't copy the pokemon's tactics of sandkicking or attack, and he still hesitates from returning the angry cat.]

Liepard, you don't remember anything anymore?! [Not in anger, but in distress.]

[Liepard stops...pawing at the ground, tail waving around. He lowers his guard only for a moment before noticing the move known as nasty plot. His arm is shaking, and as the pokemon leaps for him, he returns his pokemon mid-air.]

[He covers his face. Pull yourself together.]

[Her grip against the ball tightens, motioning towards Liepard.]

[He glares at you, Liepard is really personal for him. She turns to you as well.]

Get back and put that pokeball away!

[Liepard's fur bristles further at you.]

[She has a weird feeling, but she ignores it, edging closer to Liepard with caution.]

Clearly you've upset her.

[She attempts to blast a shadow ball but she's returned before it can fire. He's angry at your accusation and screams.]

The people who kidnapped her did!

[Instinctively Hikari throws the Pokeball away from her towards a bush when Liepard is about to fire. When she isn't struck, she turns red momentarily, screaming back at the boy.]

How do I know you're not really the kidnapper?
