Hey, Island residents! Do you like Bidoof? A lot? Great! Because you're going to get to meet a WHOLE BUNCH of them today!

It's a stampede! An uncountable number of the normal types, as well as a few of their older dual type cousins, are very determined to get from one unknown part of the Island to another, and they don't really care about what's in their way.

Fortunately, there's plenty of roofs to climb up on, and surely there are enough bore- I mean, kind people out there who are willing to share their perch or rescue you if you get stuck. Plus, the beavers themselves aren't all that tough (for the most part), so fighting your way through is an option, too... Whatever you choose to do, this mess isn't going to end until tomorrow morning. Have fun!

Ugh... [Jun was very nearly swept away by the ensuing stampede of Bidoof's when they first showed up, but he's just now barely managed to grab onto the edge and climb up onto somebody's roof to avoid them for the time being, so don't mind the sprawled youth laying back here. No, he has no idea whose house this is, but he's definitely not going to get down from this (possibly your) roof anytime soon yet...]

Oh hey, something's casting a shadow over you!

No worries, though, it's just some sort of massive flying hydra.

There's a girl riding on its back, peering over the main neck.

"Hi!"

What--[ASDHGAFGAJ OH GEEZ sitting up alarmingly fast because that's definitely not a Pokemon that we have seen before, though it takes a second before he notices the girl.] Oh, hey there...

[etranger]

The girl waves before briefly vanishing from view, only to reappear dangling off of one of the hydra's arm-heads - the mouth gapes open slightly to accommodate her hands, which seem to have slid between the sharp, pointy teeth safely. The eyes on that head are following the girl's gaze, while the other arm-head is keeping a careful watch on the girl herself.

"Need a lift?"

[Come on Jun, stop staring at the hydra and act cool!] Oh, how kind of you to offer, Miss! But I wouldn't want to inconvenience you...

[And then he finds himself pointing to the dragon, obviously very curious about it.] Also, what Pokemon is that anyway?

[etranger]

Smile.

"She's a Hydreigon. Her name is Etranger!"

There's a slight click as the girl taps her fingernails against the hydra's teeth. The arm holding her up relaxes slightly, and the mouth opens a little wider, allowing the girl to drop off and land neatly on the roof.

"I'm Mako, nice to meet you!"

Nice to meet you, Mako! I'm Jun! [He even offers a hand to shake with.] I'm from the Sinnoh region--sad to say, we don't have any "Hydreigons" there last I checked...where are you from?

[etranger]

Handshake!

"I'm from Nuvema Town in Unova."

[rivalheroics]

Oh, I see. I think one of my friends was talking about going there once! [Or at least he's pretty sure Unova was the "new" place Hareta was going to go travel to last time he saw him? There's some rattling beneath them and he finds himself looking over where the Bidoof are still stampeding through.] They sure seem to be in a hurry, huh...

[etranger]

Mako looks down as well, contemplating.

"Is it normal for so many to be in one place? Even flying overhead with Etranger I couldn't see the end."

[rivalheroics]

No idea...oh, maybe it's migration season or something for them? [That's the only answer he can immediately think of as for why the Bidoof are in such a hurry to get from one side of the island to the other...]

[etranger]

Mako leans back, resting against Etranger's belly.

"...you sure you don't want a lift?"

She's holding up a different pokeball as she says this.

Well... [How could he resist a pretty girl? Though, to be honest, he does have a means of getting off this roof, but maybe he should give the poor guy a break... ^^;;] ...Alright, if you don't mind! After all, it's not like I can stay up here on this roof forever...

[etranger]

Mako smiles and hits the button to open the pokeball.

...

WHAT IS THAT

Mako extends a hand and strokes the things...wings?

"Sigilyph, mind giving this guy a lift?"

That is not a Pokemon, it is a fever dream.

[rivalheroics]

[Oh my god what...]

That's...a "Sigilyph"? [That is one bizarre looking pokemon.] ...I'm guessing this is another Pokemon that's from Unova as well, right?

[etranger]

Beam.

"Yep!"

Is...is the bit on what looks like the head an eye, or are the eyes those two patches on the stomach?

Either way, it's looking at you.

[rivalheroics]

...Huh. [Yeah...even though he can't tell which of the eye patterns on this thing are its actual eyes, he definitely feels like he's being stared at. Also he's sort of staring back and trying to figure out how on earth this thing would be able to give him a lift...]

[etranger]

Mako scrambles back up on Etranger.

Sigilyph, meanwhile, spins in place and begins glowing faintly. Between it and you, a glowing blue disc appears.

Apparently, it's a Psychic type.

[rivalheroics]

Oh! [That's pretty cool actually. Jun stares at the disc a bit, before turning his attention towards Mako.] Do I need to get on this or something?

[Forgive us, we've never had a lift via Psychic-type before until now.]

[etranger]

Nod nod.

"It's really fun! Sigilyph is very good at this."

[rivalheroics]

Okay, gotcha! [Well, we'll take your word for it, so he's getting onto that disc now!]

[etranger]

As you step onto the disc, it enfolds you gently, like the finest beanbag chair you have ever sat in. Sigilyph spins in place once more and Mako waves to it.

"So which way?"

[rivalheroics]

[Oh wow, that's really cool...]

Oh, uh...any direction's fine! Preferably in a direction that doesn't cross paths with the Bidoof's running around, anyway...

[etranger]

"Okay! Just gimme a second, first!"

Mako makes a signal to Etranger, who swoops low while Mako releases another pokeball, which releases a man-sized pokemon that seems to be basically made out of knives. As it lands in the middle of the stampede, Mako yells out an order.

"Capture plan 7!"

Without wasting a second, the pokemon releases a wide angle Thunder Wave, paralyzing a small group of the beavers, and then launches itself forward, both arms coming around for a rising False Swipe that knocks one of the Bidoof into the air. As Etranger swoops a little lower, Mako snags the Bidoof with a Heal Ball.

After recalling the pokemon on the ground, Mako rides Etranger back up to your level before signalling to Sigilyph to follow her.

"Let's go!"

Heh, impressive!

[He jerks a thumb back towards the Bidoofs still remaining.] What was that Pokemon you used earlier to catch one of them?
