Hey, Island residents! Do you like Bidoof? A lot? Great! Because you're going to get to meet a WHOLE BUNCH of them today!

It's a stampede! An uncountable number of the normal types, as well as a few of their older dual type cousins, are very determined to get from one unknown part of the Island to another, and they don't really care about what's in their way.

Fortunately, there's plenty of roofs to climb up on, and surely there are enough bore- I mean, kind people out there who are willing to share their perch or rescue you if you get stuck. Plus, the beavers themselves aren't all that tough (for the most part), so fighting your way through is an option, too... Whatever you choose to do, this mess isn't going to end until tomorrow morning. Have fun!

"Okay! Just gimme a second, first!"

Mako makes a signal to Etranger, who swoops low while Mako releases another pokeball, which releases a man-sized pokemon that seems to be basically made out of knives. As it lands in the middle of the stampede, Mako yells out an order.

"Capture plan 7!"

Without wasting a second, the pokemon releases a wide angle Thunder Wave, paralyzing a small group of the beavers, and then launches itself forward, both arms coming around for a rising False Swipe that knocks one of the Bidoof into the air. As Etranger swoops a little lower, Mako snags the Bidoof with a Heal Ball.

After recalling the pokemon on the ground, Mako rides Etranger back up to your level before signalling to Sigilyph to follow her.

"Let's go!"

Heh, impressive!

[He jerks a thumb back towards the Bidoofs still remaining.] What was that Pokemon you used earlier to catch one of them?

[etranger]

Mako grins.

"Kamen Rider is a Bisharp!"

Yes, he's named Kamen Rider.

[rivalheroics]

A "Bisharp"...wow, your Pokemon are really cool... [Oh my gosh we seriously need to get more info about all the Unova Pokemon, there are clearly too many interesting ones to look at.]

[etranger]

Smile smile.

"Thanks!"

Oh hey look you have managed to find a place where there aren't any beavers how about that

"Wanna land here?"

[rivalheroics]

[Well he doesn't see any, so that must mean the coast is clear!]

Yeah, here should be good!

[etranger]

Well then time to land! There are no complications as Sigilyph gently sets you down.

Settling down, Mako recalls Sigilyph as Etranger curls up behind her. Pulling out a well-worn Pokeball, Mako triggers the release button.

The pokemon revealed is a massive, bipedal boar with a beard made of blazing flames. It eyes you speculatively as Mako leans back against the hydra.

"This is my starter, Hampyre! He's an Emboar."

...that name is at least three different puns at once.

[That's an awesome name for it! Jun looks it over with interest.]

Wow...I bet Mitsumi would really like it if she was here to see him...oh! Would you like to see any of my Pokemon as well? I don't know if they are able to be found in Unova too or not, but it seems only fair since you've shown me yours, right?

[etranger]

"Sure!"

Mako is excited!

[Jun takes out a pokeball of his own before tossing it. The Pokemon revealed is a pretty large bird of brown-coloring, staring a bit intently at Mako and her other Pokemon.]

This is my Staraptor! It was the very first Pokemon that I caught when I started out as a Trainer. [Which feels like ages ago to him due to weird island time shenanigans, haha... ^^;;]

[etranger]

"Ooo."

Mako stands up and inspects the bird.

"So this is what Staravia evolves into! Neat!"

[rivalheroics]

Yeah, that's right! [Staraptor doesn't mind being inspected--in fact, it puffs up its chest a little bit and tries to stand a little more impressively.] Let's see...

[One moment, looking for another pokeball before he finds it and is looking around them a bit, making sure there's enough space first. This next one's kinda big, after all...]

[etranger]

It does look like there is enough space for most pokemon here - neither Etranger or Hampyre is all that small but they are both comfortable. Unless it's, like, a Wailord or something.

Mako continues to admire the Staraptor, while Hampyre greets Etranger.

Alright, here's the next one! [He sends out his next Pokemon, and out comes...a very large land turtle. The shell is covered in grass and there's even a tree growing on it's back.] This is Torterra, and he's my starter Pokemon!

[It gives a mildly gruff-sounding reply as it looks at Mako and her Pokemon curiously. Sup there, guys.]

[etranger]

Mako's brow furrows in concentration as she looks at Torterra. She steps back a few paces, holding up her hands to frame it. She nods to herself and smiles at the turtle.

"Hello. You're the largest Torterra I've ever seen."

Glance over at you.

"Mine is about...three inches shorter in the tree, I think? I think maybe Bookbinder is a bit stunted compared to yours because the climate in Unova is much warmer than the areas you usually find the Turtwig family."

[rivalheroics]

[Torterra looks proud at the compliment. Being a huge land turtle is pretty awesome.] That kinda makes sense. Sinnoh, especially the northern part of it, is a lot colder in comparison to most regions, from what I've heard at least...

[etranger]

Mako nods while drawing two more Pokeballs out. Triggering them, they release...some kind of dancing flower and what is probably the largest centipede you've ever seen.

"These two are Aeris the Lilligant and Angra Maiyu the Scolipede."

The Lilligant trills a greeting as Mako strokes the Scolipede behind one of the whip-like feelers at the top of the head.

Oh! [Looking the two Pokemon over with interest. Torterra and Staraptor both greet the other Pokemon in turn as well.] Well, you certainly have a lot of very interesting Pokemon, Mako. I'll have to make it a higher priority to visit Unova sometime when I'm able to.

[And when we're not, you know, stuck on an island in a dimension rift somewhere.]

[etranger]

Smile.

"Unova is pretty cool!"

Pause.

"I will admit I might be biased, of course."

[rivalheroics]

[Jun just grins at that as he's taking out another pokeball--unlike Mako he's only got a team of about four right now, so he's only got two left to show off at the moment.] That's okay, I think everyone's a little biased about their home regions--after all, I'm from Sinnoh, and it is the coolest...heh, at least up in the northern part of it, anyway.

[etranger]

Nod.

"I've heard. Miss Cynthia's told me a lot about Sinnoh."

[rivalheroics]

Oh, so you've met Miss Cynthia as well? [Not too surprising, Cynthia does seem like the kind of person that travels to other regions more often than most others can....] She's the champion of Sinnoh, so I would imagine she'd have a lot of positive things to say about it...

[...Well, other than the stuff involving Galactic, but whatever!]

[etranger]

Nod nod.

"She has a beach house in Undella Town!"

Meanwhile, Aeris is now resting against Etranger, who has draped a couple of wings over her protectively.

Really? Huh...

[Aww, that's cute. Staraptor has taken to moving to perch on the tree growing on Torterra's back for now as Jun tosses the pokeball he's holding up and down.] Alright, I've got two more left to show you. First...

[Clicks the pokeball open...and now there's a large orange dragon that gives a sleepy look around before it yawns and waves, waking up a little bit more.] This here's my Dragonite! I would have had him give me a lift earlier, but...ahaha, before the Bidoof showed up, I had told it could take a break and it seemed kind of rude to wake him up so soon... [^^;;]

Wide eyes.

"Coooool..."

Dragons are apparently a Big Deal for Mako.
