[Sorry, Island, were you hoping that today would be nice and quiet, too? Unfortunately, those hopes are about to be dashed by a loud CRASH.

In some part of that gigantic park (it has plenty of room to spare for few dozen new buildings, right?) the CMA turned into, a big ol' CASTLE type thing with a weird design just got slapped down with no warning whatsoever. It's not just any weird castle, but a weird castle with a GLASS DOME surrounding it and a flowery HEDGE MAZE situated out front! It's like someone took a grass type gym and made it into a place for ancient royalty to live or something.

The front gates were apparently flung open when the building arrived, and now there's a very obvious crack going through the glass, but it seems to all be in one piece. Maybe you should head on in to explore (and inevitably get lost in the surprisingly tricky hedges for a friend or new acquaintance to find)?

...Two of the castle's unfortunate occupants (a boy with some amazing headgear and a Leafeon) will be skittering around the perimeter, looking understandably confused by the place's new surroundings. If you don't feel like waiting for someone to bother you, you could bother them instead?]

[Edmond is instantly drawn to the boy's attire. Could he be... somebody from the past?]

Hello there!

[With his long, red dress shirt, black slacks and assortment of baroque and Victorian jewels, Edmond doesn't look too twenty-first century himself.]

[The boy and his leafy friend both skid to a sharp halt, apparently not tired out at all by all their running around. He turns his head to look at Edmond and... stares, for just a moment, eyes widening, before he turns all the way around and dips his head politely to return that greeting. Leafeon imitates its trainer, a few seconds late.]

[Edmond nods in turn at the greeting, with a wide smile. That is a well-trained Leafeon!]

Are you new here?

[Or just a rather clever one that's been around humans for ages. There's another pause, but the boy seems to relax a bit before he nods again. That would be a yes, apparently. He smiles back.]

[Suddenly, Edmond is looking very worried and flustered, his gaze darting restlessly from young man to Pokémon and back.]

Ah... why won't you talk?

[what wait why are you suddenly-- The boy and his buddy react similarly, though leaning more towards concern. After a glance at Leafeon, he finally speaks up.]

Ah, I don't... [...pause. ~~He's... kind of got an accent going here.~~ It seems like he's looking for the right words to say, before finally, he just bows his head apologetically.] I'm sorry.

[The realization makes Edmond recoil a little.]

O-oh! S-so... you don't speak my language?!

[After he's collected himself, he smiles again. Placing a hand on his chest, he speaks very slowly.]

I am Edmond.

[He then points at the newcomer.]

What is your name?

[Again, the boy relaxes a little (his mood changes pretty quick, it seems), and he smiles back. Fortunately, it seems like he doesn't have much trouble understanding what Edmond has to say, even if he's not so great at using the language. Maybe he's from a place where it's just spoken from time to time.]

I am Haruhiko. [...and he'll imitate that pointing by gesturing towards his leafy pal!] Leafia... Leafeon, is his name.

[It nods its head again.]

I am pleased to meet you, Haruhiko! Welcome to the Island! I understand you may be a little confused... but there is no way for the people here to return to their homes, so all you can do is enjoy your stay here, train your Pokémon and meet new friends!

Can I ask... what is inside that building? It looks like... an ancient castle, except it also looks like a sort of... greenhouse, perhaps? What is it?

[He points to the castle curiously.]

[...strange, he could have sworn you just said something about NOT BEING ABLE TO RETURN HOME and such. Oh, well, moving along to the question! Haruhiko turns to look when Edmond points.]

Aoba Castle. [Pause.] It has people and Pokemon in it... it is one of my castles.

[Though there were an awful lot less people and Pokemon in it than usual when he was running out to see what all the noise was about!]

One of your... castles?

[Edmond's eyes widen in recognition.]

So you are a nobleman? Like me? I am a Count, myself.

[...blink.

Uh.]

I am a Bushou. [Err... he's not sure what the equivalent of that would be. He lays a hand on Leafeon's head for a moment. It stretches up to accommodate this.] We fight along with our Partners, and we take castles.

[~~Sounds like he's used to saying the word "partner", at least.]~~

[For a moment, Edmond covers his mouth with one hand as he meditates over Haruhiko's words. Finally, he nearly jumps in realization.]

Of course! A "Bushou" is... a general! ... No, better yet, a warlord! Is that what you are?

[...HMM.

Yep! That sounds about right! Nod nod. Haruhiko smiles again. He was a bit worried for a second, there, but it seems like communication won't be a huge issue.

~~...though he's still not sure why his castle is suddenly stuck in the middle of a foreign(?) country!]~~

[Edmond places one hand on his chest again.]

My ancestors used to be warriors, too. They would fight to keep the people of Hoenn safe. What about you? Where are you from?
