He's got an interesting crew out with him (a Typhlosion, a Clefable, a Wigglytuff, a Bellossom, a Smeargle, and an Abra), and he's cuddling with them, as one is prone to do when one has never had the chance or thought of Pokémon being real.

(Well. He thought so, when he was like, eight or something? But he was a kid, and it hadn't been real. But these Pokémon -- they were! And his team from his Soul Silver game had been brought to life, just like that!!)

To the undiscerning eye, it might look like he's asleep. But he definitely isn't. Totally. 100% awake here. Really!! Just go over and see for yourself, he's seriously awake. It's not like he's his Abra or something, guys, hahaha, who the heck falls asleep in random places right --]

[iiyAAH CRAP no just... He turns his face away, berating his quick-to-blush nature and shakes his head. The Pokémon on that side happens to be Pidachi, and he just loves getting attention. Even if he's the most careful of their weird posse.]

It's okay. [Maybe more for his benefit. And, hey, maybe ... he could be friends with this Koto-- err... Lyra, instead? It wasn't like Kotone would believe in Pokémon enough to tumble into the world. It pains him to think of it like that, but it's for the best at the moment.

Bakudachi's not too interested in getting to know a Meganium, but sure. He just has to keep being a pillow for Hibiki though. Does Sprouty like stretching out in the sun?]

Well, even if you're someone different, I can't help but think of you as one of my best friends! That's just how it is! The name doesn't matter at all, because a rose by any other's still a rose! It's gotten me into some trouble, but I can't help it!

I wonder if it'd be the same for Kotone-kun... That is, if she met another Hibiki-kun, would she still be mean to him just because he was a Hibiki-kun, even if he wasn't me?

If she did, then that'd just be plain awful. Does she have any friends with an attitude like that?

[Chestos are so bad. They're better than Cheri and stuff, at least. He personally dislikes getting paralyzed and having to eat those to get rid of it quicker.]

[Middle ground. He usually just gives them away. Hibiki's fond of all kinds of berries though, so whatever they don't eat he gets.]

No one could replace Kotone-kun. [As bad of a friend as she's been, it's the truth. He's very firm on it.] But I wouldn't mind being friends with you, Lyly-chan.

[Oh, that's cool. Lyra likes yellow ones too. And Aprijuice too. She might be the only human who can stand it.]

Definitely Ethan through and through! [Lyra sighs happily, petting Pidachi. Standing firm in his beliefs... That's definitely the mark of her childhood friend.] Hey, hey! Tell me about the Silver you know! You said he's prickly-shy like mine and all but tell me more!

He's a big crybaby, but he doesn't cry about normal things like really sad stories or movies. [Hibiki closes his eyes, just to help him think.] It's more like he does it when he's really frustrated or upset. When we were a little younger, he'd do it a lot because I always beat him in battles and Kotone-kun would tease him about it and say that he'd never be a good trainer if he kept losing to me. He doesn't invite us over for parties or anything like that, even though he lives in a really big house, and the only thing he has in common with either Kotone-kun or I is an interest in [erm] certain games. He doesn't have a lot of friends, since he's shy even though he keeps saying he's not, and that only girls are "shy" but he's a pretty nice guy to be friends with.

[Silver's his preferred company because, in the red-headed boy's own words, "Hibiki's too pathetic to bully."

That means more time spent being friends.]

He sounds nice! The Silver I know isn't that much of a crybaby, though there's been a few times where I think he might've been frustrated enough to cry... [Like with the Kimono girls, or in that memory Celebi showed her.] He's a really fun guy to tag battle with though, and a strong trainer! He just hasn't perfected what he's got to beat me, though his Crobat is something fierce. Right, Sprouty?

[The Meganium gets a pretty sour look on his face - don't talk about Silver's grass murdering team, Lyra. It makes him queasy.]

But you've seen his house?! I never even knew he had one! I mean, obviously he would, but I usually see him pretty much living in the Dragon's Den.

[He only thinks Silver's a crybaby because he's known him for -- a few years, at this point. It's practically like growing up with him.]

I don't think the Silver-kun you know and the Silver-kun I know are the same. [They just happened to have the same name.] Anyway, Dragon's Den is cold and isolated, right? Why would anyone want to live there?

Redhead? Grumpy gills? A really cool style of clothing? [Come on!! Maybe the same, but he has a point.] And, well, yeah, but... The inside of the shrine is nice and warm! I think, if you were training there, you'd live there too.
