what would you do if you just got launched into THE WORLD OF YOUR DREAMS huh
[...who isn't experiencing culture shock as much as he is the total immense joy of being able to play with his Pokémon. He's got an interesting crew out with him (a Typhlosion, a Clefable, a Wigglytuff, a Bellossom, a Smeargle, and an Abra), and he's cuddling with them, as one is prone to do when one has never had the chance or thought of Pokémon being real.
(Well. He thought so, when he was like, eight or something? But he was a kid, and it hadn't been real. But these Pokémon -- they were! And his team from his Soul Silver game had been brought to life, just like that!!)
To the undiscerning eye, it might look like he's asleep. But he definitely isn't. Totally. 100% awake here. Really!! Just go over and see for yourself, he's seriously awake. It's not like he's his Abra or something, guys, hahaha, who the heck falls asleep in random places right --]

Good point! [In reference to them sleeping - Blue doesn't want to wake them up if they're not ready to be woken up!
But this expectant abra- well, well!] Well, I can't disappoint now, can I?
[She hands back the apple to him-] This one's for you. [And then turns to go back over to her bag, plopping down onto the stone and grabbing an apple and pocket knife, the latter which sits in a sit pocket.]
Do you like it in slices or whole? [A question, directed to the dear Cadachible, as Blue begins to cut at the peel. She knows all about having fussy friends.]
no subject
At least she sounds happy about it, unlike a lot of more level-headd Abra. There's a small lilt to her words, like singing. It probably doesn't help she's around a Wigglytuff and Clefable most of the time... nor a musically-inclined Bellossom.]
Thanks, [for Hibiki's own part. He's kind of surprised to find apples taste the same as they did back home, but it's pleasant.] Um -- I'm Hibiki, by the way! Kiyosumi Hibiki.
[It's kind of a weird name, as far as names go -- his first name's written with the kanji for "sound" (by his mother's idea), even if he prefers the cool, clean look of it in katakana.]
You can call me Hibichi though. All of my classmates do.
no subject
missing letters how dare youHibiki - or Hibichi - isn't a name Blue's heard of at all before, so it's weird enough for that. Though, being a foreign name doesn't make it weird. In Blue's mind, she's wondering if it sounds like a name from any particular region she knows - but hey, he could be from anywhere. A name isn't always a clue.]Hibichi, hm? [There's already a tiny smile on her face when she says it, there when she nodded her head to the abra in response to her telepathy. She hums a little, and then tilts her head to the abra.] Hibichi and Cadachible.
[Of course she knows Cadachible's name, but it's the first she's said it and taken notice of its sound. It sounds right though, how she's heard Hibichi say it, and she nods to herself. She continues to cut at the apple, stopping to slice through it in her hands, so she can hold up a piece of clean fruit for the abra to take as she works on the rest.]
I'm Blue. No nicknames for me for the most part. [Unless 'loser' or 'squirt' counts.] So, you're a part-time trainer?
no subject
shhh it's our secretHibiki hesitates, because he knows -- he's thinking about it, and he knows it sounds weird. In fact, serious;y? He's sure if he met Kotone here, she'd laugh at him and say that he was dreaming. Even if he pinched her, she'd say so.He watches his Abra take the slice and nibble on it happily; it'll be demolished by the next time Blue holds one up for sure, despite the Pokémon's small bites.]
I guess. [He pauses again, then rests his chin in the hand not holding his apple. The extra pressure hurts his leg a little, but he's got more important things to think about.] If... someone came from a place where Pokémon weren't real - real like they are here, for example, or from Johto or Hoenn or anything like that - would you think they were talking crazy, Blue-san?
no subject
Did someone say that to you?
[Because unlike his name - this is weird. A weird subject!]
no subject
[Completely contrary to Hibiki's rapidly diminishing good mood, Cadachible lifts the next slice expertly and continues to enjoy her meal with the same mood a child would a bonbon.]
I guess if I have all of these Pokémon, I'm a trainer... [It seems to be more for himself, but it's still an answer to her question, right? Yeah.] Sorry for the weird question. Are you a full-time trainer, then?
no subject
That's right, though I guess we're both full-time trainers, really. But I haven't been to school in a long time.
[She would end it there, if Hibichi didn't look so sullen all of the sudden. Blue tries to catch his eye, giving him a bigger smile if she should get it.]
And don't worry about the question. [Or more like - don't worry about the concept of your question.] You just woke up. Bad dream coming back to you?
did you know i've been pushing two of his pokemon's names together this whole time i feel so dumb
Something like that! [The more time he spends here the less he wants go home -- but Mom's at home, and so are his other friends... Whatever, it doesn't matter right now, right?] Can I see your Pokémon, or were you going to wait to let them out at the beach?
you could have gotten away with it
I was thinking about taking them out before I got there. [Saying that, she looks down at her waist, then back to Hibichi.] Now would be as good a time as any! But, just let me finish up this apple.
[Hands, they are kind of full. But most of the skin is off, and she holds up another slice to the abra - and when she takes that, gives what's left of the slices to Hibichi.] Here. Don't want to take all the fun away from you.
i'd feel bad for the inevitable time i'd have to introduce his smeargle though
Which is fine, because his appetite's decided to vanish.]
I'll introduce the rest of my team too, and maybe we could, um... Walk to the beach together, or something? I haven't seen it yet, since I've just been hanging out around here with these guys.
it at least sounded like a very cute instrument
[With her hands free, she takes wipes away the damp from the fruit and then puts away the knife, then starts to take off the pokéballs from her belt.] I keep walking and walking, and I always end up at beach after beach. I'm surprised you haven't seen one yet!
[Was it just her luck? Or, you know, the fact they're on an island. But watch out, with a click on the button of the ball, Blue releases out a pokémon, one after another. A gengar, a venusaur, mienshao, xatu, and a swampert. And last but never least, a manectric.]
Munsell. [She looks over to her team, motioning one over as they take in their surroundings. The swampert walks over to her, and she holds out for him a handful of the skin that had been left in her lap.
And the swampert quite happily begins to eat up the scraps from her hand!
Also, that gengar? Totally gone.]
it really does
They all look really strong. [That's really all he can say. With a few nudges, the rest of his team joins them in the "actually awake" party they're having up here.
And that Gengar being gone? Kind of unnerving Cadachi, who just continues to eat her apple slices... albeit a little quicker than before.]
Do you have any kind of naming theme?
no subject
Nnnot really on the names -I just go with what seems to suit them. Sometimes they help too. [She should get to introducing them all, shouldn't she? So she holds out a hand towards them.]
Well, as you can guess, this is Munsell. [To the swampert she motions first. Then she looks pass the swampert, pointing over to the xatu.] That's Olive, and then- [Moving the pointed finger over to venusaur-] that's Dewdrop, and... ah.
[Oh. She totally notices that missing member.] Violet, no games in front of our new company.
[Pop! Suddenly, a gengar posed right in front of Blue to
scaredelight you all!]no subject
Ghost Pokémon are even creepier in person...]
They're all really nice names though! Really beautiful... [Just like their trainer. He doesn't say it outloud, but he totally kind of blushes just thinking about it. No -- shut up, Hibiki, don't say something so weird like that --] Uh -- you've met Cadachi-chan...
This one's Kirehime-chan. [He motions to the Bellossom, who pauses her nibbling on her (stolen from Hibiki) apple to give a small curtsy.] She loves dancing and singing, and if there's even the slightest hint of music she immediately jumps into it.
Pukudachi-kun [to the Wigglytuff!] likes singing a lot, so we've had a lot of musical numbers so far. Pidachi-kun [Clefable!] does too, and they sound really nice together, from what I've heard.
Bakudachi-kun [he presses a hand to the creamy stomach fur of his Typhlosion, who gives Blue's team a quick once over] was the one I started with, and he can be kind of a handful since he really, really doesn't like losing. Dachible-san [his Smeargle, who gives a small bow of his head in notice] doesn't mind losing and making a retreat when needed, so they don't get along super well... Probably.
no subject
Wow, what an introduction! You put mine to shame. I didn't even get to introduce my manectric. [Though the pokemon in question doesn't appear to mind, standing quietly next to the venusaur, looking towards the new group when she's mentioned but then looking away after.] Her name is Satin. I just thought it suited her.
[Not much more she can think to say about the name than that! She gives a look over the team.] Hmm, so - do you have a theme with your names? A few of them do sound familiar. Cadachi-chan, Kirehime-chan, Pukudachi-kun annnd... Bakudachi-kun.
[Each name she says, she points to the individuals with a nod. Those ones are similar!]
no subject
For Cadachi-chan, Pukudachi-kun, and Bakudachi-kun, I just took the first syllable or two of their name and added -dachi to it. The same goes for Pidachi-kun! [Partners. Friends. Pals! Thinking on Kireihime, though, it's not like it changed a whole lot; Bellossom is Kireihana, after all.] Kirehime-chan's named after her being a beautiful flower princess... Her original name has "Kirei" in it too though.
[...The odd one out in his 'dachis is Dachible, humm.]
Dachible-san's name would've been Dodachi-san, but it sounded a little stupid so I decided to just put -dachi in the front and keep the last three letters instead.
[Gosh this is a lot of talking -- but Hibiki loves talking about his Pokémon.]
I looked up their final evolutions online so I could name them appropriately and not have to worry about going to the Name Rater or anything like that later on!
no subject
Would the Name Rater tell you off for picking a bad name?
no subject
no subject
But what does 'dachi-kun' mean? Or... does the kun mean something else? I remember you called me Blue-san before, and you say Dachible-san instead of Dachible-kun, or Dachible-chan. Is that something to do with where you come from?
no subject
Um... They're just endings! A lot of boys get -kun, and a lot of girls get -chan, but I remember Mom used to call me Hibiki-chan since I was really little. I call Kotone-kun Kotone-kun because she's really tomboyish, even if she tries not to be. Dachible-san is Dachible-san because he's older than everyone else, or that's what Cadachi-chan says. [And Blue seems older than him, so Blue-san it is.
He pauses to catch his breath, then nods.] It's pretty every day back home, so I didn't think twice about using it here.
no subject
I see. So, does only your mother get to call you Hibichi-chan?
[Her voice may or may not be teasing-sounding when she says that chan.]
no subject
An-Anyone older than me could, I guess, but it kind of hurts a man's pride to hear that! [Al... Although...] If you wanted to call me Hibichi-chan though, Blue-san, I... um, I wouldn't mind it.
[He really doesn't remember any of those otome routes going like this, but -- he'll take it.]
no subject
Hahaha! It's fine, it's fine. There's some endearing names a mother should be able to keep for herself, so we'll let that man's pride of yours stay intact for now.
[She stands up, dusting off the front of her skirt and the picking up her bag.]
So, should we begin that walk now?
no subject
Huh? Oh, um -- sure. [Up he goes! The rest of his team gets to standing too, and he counts through them quietly to make sure they're all awake and ready. ... His Pokémon are all pretty big, aren't they. What a merry crew, but he doesn't have the heart to return any of them to their Pokéballs.] We'll follow you and your team, Blue-san.
no subject
[The swampert trods on over to her, then lifts his head, briefly, before beginning to walk forward. Satin rises up from her sitting position, but she was the only one sitting. Knowing where they were going they began to walk, with Blue nodding her head forward before doing so herself.]
Come on. Apples for anyone who wants them once we get there.
