[It's snowing.

That's right, it's snowing. The ground is covered in a nice thick layer of snow. More importantly, there's a nice and neat series of tables with scarves, mittens, ear muffs, and sleds leaning against it. (A few of the tables even serve hot chocolate that inexplicably hasn't gone cold, for those who need to warm up.)

It's the perfect weather for snow activities since the snow isn't too heavy... You know, except for the occasional Cryogonal that falls from the sky. There seem to be quite a few of those.

But don't let that stop you from some of the classics- snow angels, sledding, snowball fights... Tis the season and all.]

The words are familiar from the harsher Silver, but Lyra can't help but grin and take off one of her gloves and try to grab Silver's hand again so she can wriggle it on.]

Call it good competition! It's suck if you lost to me just because you can't open a ball, right? I'm just keeping the playing field level!

[It just also happens to coincide with being friendly towards him. Sprouty yawns and lays his head down, eyelids drooping as the Cryogonal threat starts to loom above him.]

Not really. [Except he swore he saw them hovering in the sky when the Neo-Plasma business was happening. Scary days, those.] It's a littler weird. What about you?

... More accurately put, she doesn't think she's in the same league as him. He's co-stars with the beautiful Sabrina and other famous actresses, Rosa's just a girl who likes battling. Gotta keep her hopes down.]

Nope. I mean, Twist Mountain in the winter time has a lot, but it feels like there's more here... Maybe there's a blizzard coming. [Just the thought makes her shiver, which makes her cough and sniffle. Shoot.]

Abra, on the other hand, casually floats a few inches above the snow and snoozes.]

Nope! Totally fine! Fit as a fiddle! I've, um, never been better! We should find a good place, so we'd better get going fast!

[She is hopping down, or trying to slip out of his arm anyway. Please. She didn't even comment about "Rosie". Look how sick she is. That would've given him a light smack for sure, since she's very keen on being called Rosa. Or Rosalind. Rosario. Rosaline. Something pretty.]

[She wiggles her bare fingers and tries not to regret giving up her warm mitten. Visibly excited, seriously!!]

[She's totally sick. Nope, sorry girlfriend. He's gonna grip her tighter.]

Woah, woah, slow down there! You'll hurt yourself if you get down too fast! [That's... totally the reason, yeah. Humph.] I don't get sick easy, Rosie, don't worry about passing it on. Just hang out with me up here, it's warm and nice.

I'm Blue! [And Abra's head just... tips to the side gently. Blue puts the back of her wrists on her waist and tilts her head too.] ... I think that's an 'Okay,' Lyra.

[And out comes Aerodactyl! Big, powerful, perching on Silver's shoulders because like hell it's going to touch that white stuff on the groUND YOU STUPID FOSSIL DON'T DO THAT

Silver stands up (falling back was not part of this plan), and his Aerodactyl reproachfully stands in the snow beside him. Heh.]

[OH YEAH LYRA HAD A MISCHIEVOUS ESPEON LIKE THAT THEY'RE SO WEEEEIRD but it's not bad...]

Okay! I'll go talk to Bulbasaur, so stay here!

[Trooping right over to Bulbasaur and Sprouty, squatting down to see beneath the Meganium. And talking lowly.]

He-llo~ Bulbasaur. Wanna kick some Psychic butt?

Look at her face, Silver.

Pure unadulterated awe.]

That's awesome! Aren't you just the strongest fossil I've ever seen? [Brb fanning over Aerodactyl.] I think Aerodactyl really does fit you, Silver, it's got just as fearsome a mouth and attitude.

[Somewhere along the edge of all of these festivities is a table. It used to have a bunch of stupid looking hats on it, but they've all been swept off onto the snowy ground. The culprit responsible for the mess is sitting at the table, with a thermos of steaming hot chocolate at his elbow and a long grey scarf wrapped around his neck and bony shoulders.

He's irritably tapping a pen on the table as he looks down at a notebook, studying what he's written there. Anyone who gets close enough might catch a glimpse of his notes; they appear to be a detailed record of some of the locations on the Island. At his feet, a scrappy looking Totodile is fending off any Cryogonal who drift too closely to the table. Despite the massive size and weight difference, none quite dare to float in range of her snapping jaws.]

Don't tell me that flopping fish is the one you got.

[The only concession Silver has made to the snowy weather is a long, gray scarf that he's borrowed (with no intention of returning) from one of the tables. As he walks by Ethan's creations, thermos of hot chocolate in hand, he finds himself entirely unimpressed.]

Really. Don't you have anything better to do?

[Noooo it's worse if she's up there...

She'll huff and resist the urge to lean against him. Her Lucario pats her sympathetically on the head and hops down. He's going to get more hot cocoa for all of them.]

... Thanks, Ser. [No problem, with a small bow. Rosa sighs.]

It's just a little cold. I don't fair that well during winter, so... It's nothing to worry about. Seriously.

[Oh, what's that? The wind? Haha, who cares about that. Nope, Ethan doesn't. Or not enough to answer Silver immediately; he takes care to put a dorky-looking hat on the snowman's head before he turns around.]

What do you have against a little fun? [Fun that doesn't include picking on innocent girls' feelings, anyway. Ethan scrunches his nose up at the thought, then crosses his arms. He feels a little weird now that he's not the one talking first to some grumpy gills obsessed with the most inane things.] It's harmless and it's not a total waste of time.

[Shh, shhh, it's okay, she's harmless. Kind of. Really, um, determined and excited easily, but nice. She won't hurt you--]

We're gonna have a snowball fight! You and Abra against Sprouty here and me and Blue!

[... Well, it's not hurtful. Sprouty sighs and lowers his head. No. He is protecting Bulbasaur.]

I'll put gloves on your vines so it's not so cold?

So you're a spring and summer kind of girl... I totally expected that. I like the summer best too, since you can do a lot of swimming!
