[An island! This is most certainly not where everyone was just a few moments ago. ...Alright, maybe some of you were on an island. Don't get cheeky.
At everyone's feet is a small note. It gives no description of their location or explanation, of course; it only says one simple thing.
Please choose one.
The note comes along with three Pokéballs with different "starter" Pokémon in them- the three Pokémon can be anything, from a Froakie, Charmander, and Treecko to a Rattata, Patrat, and Bidoof if you're particularly unlucky- and everything in between. If it's not a legendary Pokémon, it's fair game.
Of course, you can only pick one! Trying to go for a second will leave you thinking that you better not get too greedy. If you're one of those types that wouldn't care either way, the other two Pokéballs will simply disappear.
Now go forth, and into a world of Pokémon!]

Sprouty is getting tired of being weirded out, so he just drops his head on top of Lyra's poofy hat with a sigh. Really. What's next. At least the trainer's speechless for a moment, but she gets back her voice because there is something more important than a talking Pokémon afoot.]
I haven't even seen a Pokémon like that before, or like you actually. Or one that could talk. That's really cool. Can I help you look for its mama? I'm sure she's worried about her baby!

If you've not seen them - are you not from Kalos? This is a Dedenne, and I am a Sylveon - an evolution of Eevee. That, I've heard, is found in most regions.

We're from Johto! I'm Lyra, and this is Sprouty. It's nice to meet you both. [Such cuuuties!!!] Eevee's definitely found pretty much anywhere someone takes them, yup, even if you're the first Sylveon I've ever met... You're so pretty and pink. And that little guy's adorable and fuzzy.
