At everyone's feet is a small note. It gives no description of their location or explanation, of course; it only says one simple thing.

Please choose one.

The note comes along with three Pokéballs with different "starter" Pokémon in them- the three Pokémon can be anything, from a Froakie, Charmander, and Treecko to a Rattata, Patrat, and Bidoof if you're particularly unlucky- and everything in between. If it's not a legendary Pokémon, it's fair game.

Of course, you can only pick one! Trying to go for a second will leave you thinking that you better not get too greedy. If you're one of those types that wouldn't care either way, the other two Pokéballs will simply disappear.

Now go forth, and into a world of Pokémon!]

[......omg what IS that Pokémon anyway? Who said Bob was a competent Grunt? Nobody, that's who. He's staring at the Furfrou not sure what to make of it.]

[So easy to read. Cress glances down at the helpful Furfrou as well. He would really like to know the answer to that question, too... He just uses one arm (his other hand still has two leashes in it) to shrug exaggeratedly.]

I would assume that to be the case, since she- [he receives a Look from the dog and clears his throat] -Excuse me, since he was sitting in a Pokéball until a moment ago.

[Was Cress saying something? Oops, looks like it was Bob's turn to not pay any attention. Wow this Furfrou was so pretty! ...but nothing compared to his Sewaddle, okay. His Sewaddle is great and also not a Pokémon.]

What, he just got this new human and you want him to let it go already? Are you stupid?? No way, it's clean and blue and pretty and he's going to keep this one forever and ever and give it a fancy-pants nickname and practice cool moves with it and if anyone touches his new human he's gonna- (etc)

Obviously none of this is actually coming out of the Pokemon's mouth, but the absolutely scathing look he gives Bob probably speaks louder than words.]

[My goodness! His eyes have been opened to the error of his ways! He misunderstood the relationship between trainers and pokémon this whole time. Ah, this Pokémon helped in this process of discovery-

[GLARE GLARE GLARE is the Furfrou's reply, again. It's probably still inwardly ranting. But it sits down on its hind legs to match Bob like a civilized doggy.

In the background, those Lillipups have finally started to calm down a bit, allowing Cress a moment to get his bearings. Let's see, if they're on this part of the Island, then...]

[Oh, what a good doggy. Bob just keeps staring before he eventually reaches out with the happiest of all happiest looks.]
