At everyone's feet is a small note. It gives no description of their location or explanation, of course; it only says one simple thing.

Please choose one.

The note comes along with three Pokéballs with different "starter" Pokémon in them- the three Pokémon can be anything, from a Froakie, Charmander, and Treecko to a Rattata, Patrat, and Bidoof if you're particularly unlucky- and everything in between. If it's not a legendary Pokémon, it's fair game.

Of course, you can only pick one! Trying to go for a second will leave you thinking that you better not get too greedy. If you're one of those types that wouldn't care either way, the other two Pokéballs will simply disappear.

No idea either! It looks kinda like a Marill though, doesn't it? So I'm thinking it might be a baby Pokémon of Marill's!

...Marill? { Head tilt, er sorry man this is all after my time.} I guess it's something not from Kanto then.

[OH, he's from Kanto. No wonder. Time to dig out his Pokédex. It looks roughed up, and rather old but it's surprisingly functional.]

If ya want, you can keep looking through my Pokédex! It doesn't have entries of the Pokémon you're looking at though. Nor on her.

[He'll let Azurill sit on his shoulder, before offering his Pokédex for Red to take. It at least has the Johtoside of the Pokédex completed, with only random chunks of the Kanto side filled.

...and Azurill's entry is literally just a glitched up page with a Glitchmon on there. R00d.]

...So why do some of them come up as glitches? I've never seen that happen before.

I'm not really sure either. It's what came up when I tried to identify this lil' lady on my Pokédex.

.... ....you don't think it's from dropping it one too many times, do you?

I guess it's just from a region outside of Kanto, or Johto. You likely just need to have a Professor upgrade it for you.

... ...That might be a part of the issue.

Ehehe, I'm gonna get a long talk from Professor Elm the next time we meet. ...but it's possible Lulu here isn't from Johto. I know I've been to almost every corner, and I haven't meet one like her.

{ Red will take out a Pokeball, and toss out a Pumpkaboo.} Don't suppose any of these are in Johto?
