The note comes along with three Pokéballs with different "starter" Pokémon in them- the three Pokémon can be anything, from a Froakie, Charmander, and Treecko to a Rattata, Patrat, and Bidoof if you're particularly unlucky- and everything in between. If it's not a legendary Pokémon, it's fair game.

Of course, you can only pick one! Trying to go for a second will leave you thinking that you better not get too greedy. If you're one of those types that wouldn't care either way, the other two Pokéballs will simply disappear.

Now go forth, and into a world of Pokémon!]

Team Magma's glorious purpose is to expand the landmass! The world is made up of about 70% water! It's too much! Hoenn is a good example - over half the region is covered in water!

Team Magma aims to change that! We're going to create more habitats for Fire- and Ground-type Pokémon! They're not very common in Hoenn! We won't let Team Aqua stand in the way of our goals!

Well, there's no real way to expand both the land and the sea... Things would just end up as they are now, which still isn't fair to Fire- and Ground-type Pokémon!
