At everyone's feet is a small note. It gives no description of their location or explanation, of course; it only says one simple thing.

The note comes along with three Pokéballs with different "starter" Pokémon in them- the three Pokémon can be anything, from a Froakie, Charmander, and Treecko to a Rattata, Patrat, and Bidoof if you're particularly unlucky- and everything in between. If it's not a legendary Pokémon, it's fair game.

Of course, you can only pick one! Trying to go for a second will leave you thinking that you better not get too greedy. If you're one of those types that wouldn't care either way, the other two Pokéballs will simply disappear.

Now go forth, and into a world of Pokémon!]

[Blue at first didn't recognize where he was, and got distracted because not!rival and ended up with a all too shy Trubbish, constantly hiding behind his legs at the moment.

Well, it wasn't a bad pick considering his other two options had been a golden Magikarp, and an Unown. He's currently trying to get acquainted with his new pokémon before sighing and glancing down at Tubby, the trubbish.]

...are you going to keep hiding behind me?

[It could be because there is a natu - and an absol, though she's hanging back - is trying to make friends. And mby making friends we mean staring unblinkingly at the trubbish as it hops closer.]

Naty! Kutabe! Don't go to far a.... Oh... [That would be the trainer. Another Not!Rival who trails off on seeing Blue.] O-Oki... - Naty, Kutabe get back here! Now!

[She miiiight be sliiiightly hysterical as she calls for both pokemon. Don't mind her, she seems to have forgotten pokeballs exist right now. Opps?]

[At the sight of a stray(?) Natu, Blue narrowed his eyes, making it blatantly clear he intended to stand in between it and his Trubbish. It's not until he hears a familiar voice that his harsh glare immediately turns to a more neutral one.

He looks perplexed by her reaction.]

..Leaf...?

[Or was it "Blue"? Either way Blue looks concerned, but doesn't move right away not wanting to upset her further.]

What's wrong...?

[Of course he doesn't state how his name is Blue either. Not that he even knows what his name is. A habit he may or may have not adopted during the time he spent with Red on this island.]

[He's 100% truthful, finding no reason to lie to a double of Leaf. There's an upturn frown at the mention of "Grandfather".]

I'm a Gym Leader. I don't have time for anything outside of that.

[-except working with La Resistance but you know, that's another story.]

[It's her last name, but she a) doesn't know you and b) you do look like Shigeru so she's more than a little nervous. Give her time and that impression will change.] Oh. The league will still worry - e-even if I h-haven't vanished because of a psychic.

G-Gym-leader? [She's much to polite to say 'huh' but it shows on her face.] T-That's um... sad. A-All the gymleaders I know time for other hobbies. Though, I suppose running a gym is like being a champion.

[Uh, not really you airhead. But at the question, she blinks.] This isn't Guren island?

[It felt odd being referred to so politely by someone with the same face as her. He didn't seem bothered by the fact Fumiko rather he referred to her by her surname. Whatever a not!rival wanted, not!rival got.]

Is that so? Gym Leaders having free time, huh....

[He returns the look with one of his own. Not that he really expresses how he felt on the matter of being a Gym Leader aside from an implied 'gee must be nice'.

Otherwise he doesn't say anything, while listening to Fumiko speak. It's not until her question that Blue finally responds.]
