[An island! This is most certainly not where everyone was just a few moments ago. ...Alright, maybe some of you were on an island. Don't get cheeky.

At everyone's feet is a small note. It gives no description of their location or explanation, of course; it only says one simple thing.

Please choose one.

The note comes along with three Pokéballs with different "starter" Pokémon in them- the three Pokémon can be anything, from a Froakie, Charmander, and Treecko to a Rattata, Patrat, and Bidoof if you're particularly unlucky- and everything in between. If it's not a legendary Pokémon, it's fair game.

Of course, you can only pick one! Trying to go for a second will leave you thinking that you better not get too greedy. If you're one of those types that wouldn't care either way, the other two Pokéballs will simply disappear.

Okay, if you say so... [ She takes a deep breath and exhales, then start a long explanation. ] See there was this group call Team Plasma, and they wanted to 'liberate' Pokémon and stuff. But really they wanted all the Pokémon for themselves so that they could take over the world.

They where gonna use this legendary dragon that was, like chosen by their leader? But then it turned out he was being used by a mastermind? So a lone trainer beat both the leader and the mastermind with the other legendary dragon and so Team Plasma was 'disbanded.'

But then! Team Plasma came back two years later and became like, Neo Team Plasma? They wanted to, uh, freeze the world using a third legendary dragon and fusing it with one of the other legendary dragons? But a lone trainer different than the one before was able to beat the mastermind and the evil fusion dragon.

But they did freeze a city, and before that, they were able to build a castle under the Pokémon League.

Anyway, they did all that in order to try to rule the world? Sounds pretty far-fetched. And you said a kid stopped 'em?

Well, not just a kid. Two different kids. [ big difference archie gosh ] And they probably had help from friends and the gym leaders. [ since the gym leaders actually do stuff beside sit in their gyms waiting for kids to challenge them all day ]

It was nice to be far away from trouble... especially since I don't like the cold. Although, I was thinking of going to Humilau City when I heard the Marine Tube was finished, but it's a good thing I didn't.

It's really long glass tube that's in the ocean. Some people call it "the walk-through aquarium" because you see can a whole bunch of water Pokémon swimming around.

Doesn't it! I wish I had gone to see it, but... it probably would've just remind me of you. [ She smiles, but there's a hint of sadness to her voice. ]

[Archie's grin falters for a moment and he actually looks genuinely touched - but then he's grinning again and reaching out to ruffle Rosetta's hair.]

Hey, c'mon now, we're here now! Who knows, maybe the island's got something like it? It's been awhile since we've last been here; who knows what kinda new things have popped up?
