At everyone's feet is a small note. It gives no description of their location or explanation, of course; it only says one simple thing.
Please choose one.
The note comes along with three Pokéballs with different "starter" Pokémon in them- the three Pokémon can be anything, from a Froakie, Charmander, and Treecko to a Rattata, Patrat, and Bidoof if you're particularly unlucky- and everything in between. If it's not a legendary Pokémon, it's fair game.
Of course, you can only pick one! Trying to go for a second will leave you thinking that you better not get too greedy. If you're one of those types that wouldn't care either way, the other two Pokéballs will simply disappear.
Now go forth, and into a world of Pokémon!]

Haaah...you have my condolences if these are a common place in Johto. These little guys just don't know how to stop, do they?

And being caught by Lyra, kind of. Pushing him back down and petting him comfortingly anyway.]
They don't. They're not that common, but every now and then a huge swarm of them'll come around! It's so cool seeing them cover the sky in darkness!

Serena quirks a brow, though.] No joke? Huh! That's kind of how they are back home--they come around in clusters and attack all at once! [She pouts, though.] Man, Johto's super lucky that they get to experience that--I bet anyone who likes bug Pokemon would just love to see that!

Oh, definitely! Sprouty's obviously not too good with them, but creepy crawlies are some of my favorite Pokémon. [She sighs so, so happily. Even if other girls might not like them, she's got plenty of love for them!] What was that about all attacking at once, though? I've never had that happen to me, even though I've just seen them flying around like that!
