HAVE SOME IDIOT
[Just because the island split a bit over a month ago is no reason for life not to go on as normal. And go on as normal, Red has. Of course, his definition of normal is still ridiculous, horrifyingly dangerous training regimens for both himself and his Pokemon, rain or shine, but the point stands. At least he remembered to take a lunch break today.
He can be found sitting against a tree, partially-eaten lunch in his hands, and wrapped in his cloak as usual. Why only partially-eaten? Well, it seems both he and his team have decided that it's naptime. The Pokemon - Pikachu, Venusaur, Charizard, Dragonite, Kangaskhan, Gengar, Alakazam, Wailmer, and Duosion - are all snoozing around the area. Red himself is unconscious, albeit for a different reason. His face is flushed, and if you come close enough to check, his temperature is definitely above what it should be.]

...Is that a baby? What do you think Icarus? [Staring down at Duosion. He hesitates, oh the hell with it. That guy brought it on himself for being in such an open area. He pokes at it a couple times.]
no subject
no subject
Icarus, get back h--Fernando?? Alejandro?!
[Each of them gotten ahold of the Alakazam's mustache, proceeding to yank alternately.]
no subject
Vates, the Alakazam, is Not Amused by these mustache-pullings. His eyes open in very noticeable annoyance.
Kaaaaazam. ....Why yes, that is a threatening tone.]
no subject
Have a couple light head bumps.]
[Meanwhile Alejandro hasn't taken the hint, going for one last hard tug.]
Alejandro, cut it out!! [He grabs the remaining Miltank harshly, eyeing the Alakazam.]
My friend was being really stupid, I'm sorry...
[Gulp. The Houndoom will be barking threateningly at Alakazam, with the Ponyta stepping in close to Gold.]
no subject
Vates wasn't planning to attack Gold - he's more than smart enough to figure out that the Pokemon are just up to mischief, so there's no way it's the trainer's fault - though he was considering sending the Miltank flying a short distance to show it that you don't mess with extremely-well-trained Pokemon without being prepared to suffer the consequences.
Kaaaaa. "Learn to control them better" is is the intended sentiment.]
no subject
Yeah...sorry again.
[He'll wave away Shippo and Judas, proceeding to glare at the Miltanks when he is interupted by the Togetic.]
Huh, what is it?
[Icarus directs him to Red, who sidesteps the best he can past his team.]
..He looks sick. Hey, are you alright? [He taps Red's shoulder firmly.]
no subject
Finally, Red's eyes open - slowly, but definitely with a look of not wanting to be asleep. It takes him a moment to focus enough on his surroundings to realize there's a stranger far closer to him than he'd be comfortable sleeping through.]
... Wh...Who...?
no subject
Who? [Gold looks behind him, observing it might be himself Red is referring to.]
Oh, I'm Gold. You okay?
You look horrible.
no subject
... A cold. Just a... Cold... [That's safe enough to say, at least - he pushes himself up a bit, trying to get to a more upright seated position. His food is... Still there, okay, he should get back to that, Blue will be upset if he forgets to eat or doesn't eat it all.]
no subject
[He motions to Icarus to assist him, but he's already on it, the Togetic pulling on a sleeve until Red's back is straight.]
Eating something usually helps me out...
[He reaches for his rucksack, feeling for his Berries section. Lucky he ran into that stash of Oran berries before landing here. Hold up, why is he being so quick to help this stranger? He just got here, this guy could be bad news. Whoever Alejandro and Fernando were messing with was definitely dangerous, the whole group had to be as well. His hand travels back to Red's shoulder.
This guy better have some food of his own.]
no subject
It's a good idea on your part to be wary of him. His entire team is, in fact, very powerful. You haven't shown to be up to anything however, and on the island, the rule is definitely "innocent until proven suspicious".]
no subject
[He sounds a little annoyed, it just doesn't add up to him. You should know what's going on with you more than anything else, thinks the guy who always ends pushing past his limits on a regular basis. In other words, there is nothing to worry about...life or death wise anyway.
His eyes follow Red's stare, rummaging around with his free hand. Gold touches and pushes through everything in the remote area except for Red's lunch. Seems like different tactics must be taken.]
Roberto, Fernando, Alejandro, c'mere. [He has both hands on Red, not so gently.]
Help me get him up, we might have to take him.
no subject
Nevertheless, the question gets you a weak glare that's more like an annoyed grimace than anything. He can usually tell when something is wrong with his body. He just can't seem to focus on anything or muster up any energy right now...
Panic surges when you start lifting him up, along with those words. Blame it on paranoia, but he will struggle - weakly, of course, from the fever, but he'll struggle all the same.]
... Hnnnn... Nnn... No...!
no subject
Too bad.
[Seeing as how Red's condition cannot amount to a decent opposition, he's sure no harm will befall any of them, signaling the Miltanks who stopped midway. They look at another, reluctant to continue until Gold administers a death glare.
Gold should have probably made the observation to get more...nimble helpers. It is his ability to miss the important things right in front of him that prevented him from noticing the lunch in Red's hands. Or that his Miltanks were very endowed ladies, although to be fair, they were on the boyish side, and Gold couldn't resist a little breaking of the gender quo.
Better hope Venusaur, Charizard, and Kangaskhan are heavy sleepers, the calvary's a'comin.]
no subject
Red might not be able to do much right now, but his team sure can. While he can't call out loud enough to wake any members, your Pokemon woke Vates earlier. Thus it is one angry Alakazam coming to stop you from continuing to upset Red.]
V... Vates...!
no subject
This is for his own good--stop him Shippo!
[The Houndoom will let out a warning fire; he doesn't look too thrilled with the order though.]
no subject
Unfortunately for you, stopping to calmly explain would likely have worked out. But reacting with an attack? Nope, that earned you no points. Red squints at your Pokemon...]
... R... Retrahitur... In... Ins... [He doesn't need to finish. Vates already knows - the command means Focus Blast.]
no subject
And on the top of the list, fight fire with fire. Even though Gold is more of a farmer than an actual Trainer.
Gold catches on to Red's order too late. Houndoom, confused by the situation, lets out another flamethrower.]
Dangit..Judas!
[The Ponyta charges at Vates, reaching out with his hooves.]
no subject
He's going to push through to try to get Red away from you. The whole team has had plenty of time to get used to a world where the entire League is out to get Red, and they'd rather not have anything similar happen to him here. The Alakazam knows to wake the others if this takes too long.]
no subject
Desperately he directs a Fire Spin at Vates, a misfire that hits Gold after he is pushed away by Vates.]
Judas, stop!...b-back off...
[He's upset, but his words sound like pleas. Gold lays back in exhaustion after he stops rolling off the remaining embers.]
no subject
...man, that kid looks a little flushed. Hmm.
This loudly dressed lady will just be weaving carefully between the napping 'mons to approach Red and leans down, getting a better look at his face. A couple of Drifloon bob silently in the air behind her.]
no subject
no subject
The lady straightens up and... walks over to that Dragonite, careful not to disturb ALL the 'mons and make a fuss. Have a gentle kick to wake you up, dragon, followed by a "shh" gesture should you open your eyes.]
now with more appropriate icon!
no subject
You're friends with that kiddo over there, right? He's not doing so great. I don't think it's a good idea to just leave him out here.
no subject
Custos takes a moment to consider what the "kiddo" you're referring to is - he's never heard the word before - but makes a beeline for Red upon hearing that he isn't doing well. This isn't because he figured out what kiddo means, but because he had to check to see if Red was the one not doing well.
Of course, it's easy to tell once he's close. Custos promptly starts nudging Red with his head, trying to get the trainer on his back so he can fly him home.]
no subject
And of course we meant SIGN up there, oops. She'll just follow. Oh, looks like the dragon agrees with her.]
I've got a place nearby, if you want to let him rest there for a bit?
[Pokeworld hospitality and all that. At the very least, she'll lend a hand to get Red on the Dragonite's back, if it'll let her. She's got enough arm strength to lift someone else up, no prob.]
no subject
The initial reaction is faint growling, but... Conflict. Taking Red someplace that might not be safe - they know nothing about this lady after all - while he's unconscious, or leaving him out here, or flying him home and leaving the other Pokemon out here... None of them are good choices.
Maybe he's trusting too easily, but Red's fever can't be ignored. The others would understand. Custos gives you a nod, ready to follow. If you do anything to his trainer - if you even try - you will be in big trouble with one hypertrained Dragonite. Not to mention the rest of Red's team, Blue, and Blue's team when they find out.]
no subject
She'll just nod back, and take the lead. Her place actually is very close- it's smallish, but kept well enough. The door isn't locked, and one of the Drifloons floats in ahead through a window.]
no subject
The house seems nonthreatening enough, but then, they've learned to never let appearances fool them. Custos will be keeping an eye on you and Red through the windows, since it seems like he won't be able to fit through the door.]
no subject
Your personal momYour long time rivalYour overly concerned BFFTealBlue was out training himself. ...was, past-tense. The moment he spotted Red his desire to do that went right out the window. He doesn't need to get up close and personal to tell that Red was not doing good. There's a sigh on Blue's end. AND NO THAT PARTIALLY EATEN LUNCH IS NOT COMFORTING AT ALL. Dammit Red, why do you never eat properlynagnagnagnag]
This idiot....
no subject
Though there's no denying it was a bad idea to go out training in that rainstorm the other day. Red usually just ignores it when he gets sick anyway, though, which was why he thought he'd be fine.]
no subject
He'll finally walk in closer to kneel next to Red. Reaching over, Blue places a hand onto Red's shoulder as he lightly nudges him.]
Hey, hey wake up.
no subject
A few long moments later he manages to process that he was asleep and what woke him up. He looks up at you woozily.]
... Blue...
no subject
...you idiot, you're running a fever. What are you doing lying out here like this?
no subject
... L... Lunch break... [Training, as usual, of course. But he was eating! Until he passed out.]
no subject
...whatever. I meant what were you doing before?
[Of course he really didn't need to hear the answer. Red was sadly predictable this way.]
You're coming back with me inside to rest. Your body can't keep up with all that strain you're giving it.
no subject
He'll just... Lift one arm then. He could use a hand getting up.]
no subject
Come on, stand up slowly.
[He'll state while he helped lift Red up to his feet, while being careful as to not stand too quickly.]
no subject
His Pokemon, he should do something about his-- Right, Pokeballs, Pokeballs will work. Fumbling for those now, managing to return about three of the sleeping beasts. Stupid... Coordination...]
