At everyone's feet is a small note. It gives no description of their location or explanation, of course; it only says one simple thing.

Please choose one.

The note comes along with three Pokéballs with different "starter" Pokémon in them- the three Pokémon can be anything, from a Froakie, Charmander, and Treecko to a Rattata, Patrat, and Bidoof if you're particularly unlucky- and everything in between. If it's not a legendary Pokémon, it's fair game.

Of course, you can only pick one! Trying to go for a second will leave you thinking that you better not get too greedy. If you're one of those types that wouldn't care either way, the other two Pokéballs will simply disappear.

Now go forth, and into a world of Pokémon!]

Blue stares at her for a while -- follows her, really, creeping as subtly as a venasaur tromping through a forest (especially hilarious as Bulbasaur, the Pokémon she chose from her three, is following behind its trainer much more quietly because of its shy plantmonster status). The overwhelming sweet... perfume stuff? makes her nose crinkle and feel like sneezing, but she's not one to tell people to stop having fun.

So, yes. A tiny ten year old is not-secretly-at-all following behind someone who looks like her. Brilliant.]

[ Doo doo la la la let's investigate this strange place she ends up in-

oh, is there someone following her? She can sense that, it's an instinct she has developed after years of being followed by bothersome fans and trainers. Blue makes a sudden stop and slowly turns around....

And stares in confusion at this kid in front of her. ]

[... ...

She really does look like her! Blue waves, happy at being caught. More trainers meant more friends meant more people to learn from, and she really was going to need a lot of different trainers if she was going to learn how to be a good one to Bulbasaur.]

Hi! I'm Blue!

[ What. ]

That's so cool! I've never, ever met someone who has the same name as me! [If she was supposed to be weirded out, she's absolutely not. Such is the wonder of finally existing to people other than herself.] And we look really similar too!

[championleaves]

[ Bends her body a little so she is at her doppelganger's eye level. First, she met an older guy who looks like her best friend yet has the same name as her, now she meets a little girl who looks like her and has the same name as her! Blue makes a mental note to record how many strangeness she's encountered here.

Jigglypuff is circling around tiny Blue to observe. Wow what, you're exactly like my trainer when she was younger! ]

... Weird.

[Blue waves to Jigglypuff too -- you're super cute! Actually, she met someone just before who had to choose between a Jigglypuff, a Pikachu, and a Lucario... How weird!]

I don't think so. I think it's cool we have so much in common! It means we can be friends faster. Don't you think so?

[championleaves]

[ Wow what an excitable kid. This is still weird, though, just saying. Blue nods and extends her arm.

... What? You say you want to be friends right, let's shake hands. ]

[betabangs]

[...Oh!

Blue'll shake hands, yeah. Okay. Cool.]

Have you always had Jigglypuff? She looks really friendly!

[championleaves]

[ We have the most awkward hand shake. She then nods.]

I caught her. [ Pause. Noticing the Bulbasaur behind the tiny girl, Blue adds; ]

You're a trainer. [ Though the tone is more like a statement than a question, it's actually a question. ]

[betabangs]

[She shakes her head sadly -- then remembers that, now that she does have a Pokémon, she is a trainer. Vigorous head nodding.]

Now I am! I wasn't before I came here, but I chose Bulbasaur to be my very first Pokémon and now we're partners! Even if he's really, really shy and scared of everything.

[championleaves]

[ Blue's eyes light up at that. On one hand, this is getting even weirder, same name, same look and same starter!? On the other hand, encouraging young trainers!! ]

Bulbasaur is a good choice.

[betabangs]

[That's more people who've said she picked well!]

I really, really wanted the Ekans, since my friend Red said that they're not really popular and they're only used to poison Pokémon so I wanted to show it we could be friends, too... But Bulbasaur's really, really cute, so I'm okay!

[championleaves]

[ "Red" like the Blue/Green look alike says is also his friend. Blue is trying to connect the dots from all of this clues, but slowly...

Anyway, Ekans as starter would be way too creepy. Blue has one that's evolved to Arbok in her PC, but definitely not something she'd choose as starter. ]
