Being able to really hear their voices, being able to feel the exhaustion they do, or the quirks they go through in human society. In a way they struggle to match with us more than...humans try to match with them. To feel like you have siblings all around you more than a human could feel, to exchange signals and energy in a unique and not fully understood way... And to really, truly fight along side a pokemon.
